Mark is awesome! He was born to be a Veterinarian. He’s very comfortable handling our dogs.

My only complaint is that Jasper's red and black plaid blanket was lost. Would not recommend sending something with your scent on it to try and reassure your pet. An orange T-shirt had been lost but that was recovered.

Roanoke has saved my dog's life twice - two separate incidents which required immediate surgery. My (accident-prone) hound is now six and I hope she doesn't have any more medical emergencies, but its nice to know that I can count on Roanoke.

Always prompt, always flexible, and most of all, my dogs like Roanoke Island Animal Clinic.

I decided to use RIAC because you have emergency care. I am happy that you know my dog in the event I ever need it. I live in Jarvisburg and I happily drive to Manteo for excellent care and preventive meds.

Max and I were treated as well liked friends although we had not seen this particular vet before.

I had a very sick young puppy and was just visiting so I had no access to my regular vet and they made time for me to come in and get the care he needed immediately.

Allowed us to walk in, assessed our dog to see if it was an emergency (not), and then waited. Could not make an appointment for follow-up and were told to come back as walk in again. They were down to 2 vets from the total of 5 we were told.

Hands down the best we’ve ever taken our dogs to. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Everyone there treats or dogs like they are theirs. Would never go anywhere else!

This is an exceptional practice in every respect!

Staff is always respectful and courteous. Dr Elliott was great with our dog, had patience and understood his anxiety.

My pets were comfortable through the entire process and this was the first time they had been to a vet. I was very pleased with the staff and their knowledge and compassion for my pets.

The after hours emergency care that our pug Andy received from Dr. Elliot Grossman and the Technician were very professional. All tests, results, and medications were explained. Andy recovered quickly and I was very pleased with all services.

Always receive good service. Only complaint is when you make an appointment for a specific vet and another is sent in. It was corrected and we saw the requested vet.

I had just arrived in OBX for a week vacation. My 1 year old Border Collie had several seizures. I contacted Roanoke Animal Clinic and was seen first thing on a Saturday morning. All other animal hospitals were closed because it was a Saturday. Thank

As an out of town visitor, both trips to the Roanoke Island Animal Hospital has been very professional along with a good deal of compassion and care. Tho this last trip my sweet Maggie passed - she was nearly 20 - she was very well cared for.

You know you all get 5 stars from us. Been with you since early 1990' s and on our third set of brother and sister litter mates. Would not go anywhere else!

We were new clients being seen for our first appointment/annual checkup for our cat and dog. The staff was very professional and the bill was very reasonable. So glad we went with them as our provider.

We have been using Roanoke Animal Hospital since 2010, never an issue, always grateful for the kindness and expert care we receive for our dogs. Thank you to the entire staff, we truly appreciate the excellent care given!

Every single vet and other professional who has ever attended to my dog has been very knowledgeable, explanatory, attentive and courteous, and has demonstrated genuine care and concern for my dog's health and well-being and for me as the pet owner.

Dr. Grossman was so kind and took the time to explain everything and take me to see the x-rays even though they were VERY busy. I know my pups always get the best care when we are there.

We are visiting from New York, we have 2 Hungarian Vizslas, We thought we had an emergency with one of them, which turned out not to be an emergency, but we were treated as though it was top priority and as important to them as it was to us.

My Cockatiel was having major health problems and was on the edge of her life. Dr. Elliot Grossman was fantastic in his knowledge and skills, and properly diagnosed and saved the life of my bird through surgery and follow-up medications. Wonderful!

Ours was an emergency walk in visit. We were greeted with concern and kindness by the staff. Dr. Grossman immediately diagnosed our dog’s problem (Vestibular Syndrome) and thoroughly explained what to expect going forward. Recovery. Best news ever!

Dr. Burkhart saved my mom’s cat’s life. She had an ailment that for a couple years and was not identified or diagnosed until we came to this vet. Also true for my dog just recently. She is an angel in disguise!

I had to seek emergency care for my parakeet and they took us right in that same day as a new client. The staff is very friendly & Dr. Grossman took the time to educate me on things I didn’t know about. 11/10 recommend this place!

We arrived for our vacation on Saturday at 5 PM. I put my Bichon in the fenced yard while unpacking the car. I checked on her at 5:15 and I found her with a bloody cut under her neck. I thank God for the doctors and their staff and the loving care

It has a comfortable atmosphere. You can commiserate with other pet owners and quickly share their relationships with their pets and yours. Often make new friends.. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. No pressure.

I liked they way all the people there was not scared of my puppy even if he was a German Shepard and dr Elliot was amazing with him and he did a damn good job explaining everything to me

We did not have an appointment but the hospital squeezed us in anyway. The place was real busy and we were seen in less than an hour. The VET was confident and knowledgeable and got our dog feeling better pretty quickly. Maybe a larger waiting room.
