Ever since the first Loggerhead turtle we assisted on Thanksgiving Day of 1992, Drs Grossman and Burkart became commited to giving veterinary medicine to the Outer Banks array of wildlife. Although we contribute all of our time and medicine pro bono, many folks have donated money to help defray the costs of our endeavors.
This Trumpeter Swan (left) came to us with an injured wing. While this beautiful bird was not able to fly again, it was released to a wildlife preserve.
Through your donations, the sales of our "T" and sweat shirts, and our "Memory Bricks", the costs of commitment to the local wildlife is defrayed. We thank you for your purchase of the shirts or the bricks. Each brick is engraved with your pets name and becomes a permanent part of our entrance "memory" walkway into the clinic.
Here is a few photos of our "memory walk" engraved bricks. 100% of the profits raised to purchase a brick in memory or in honor of your friend goes towards the veterinary care of the wildlife that make it to our hospital. The bricks are placed in our walk into the front entrance to the clinic. Additional bricks can be made for you to have at home too. If you are interested, please call the clinic for brick prices.
The Roanoke Island Animal Clinic uses its own resources for wildlife rehabilitation. If you care to help via a contribution, we would like to show our appreciation in the following ways:
$12 donation - T-Shirt of your choice.
$24 donation - Sweatshirt or 2 T-Shirts of your choice
$175 donation - Memory Brick
