Clcik the Pic to see more of The Pet of the Month

JUNE 2009

Meet Bonnie,
a beautiful, demure, absolutely precious female Tonkinese kitty. She was born in 1992. Bonnie comes in for fluids twice weekly to manage her chronic renal disease. She is an amazing cat who loves everyone and never complains about her treatment. Her "mom" Carla and "dad" Hal reside in Pirate's Cove Marina, here on the Outer Banks. Carla says it's the yoga that keeps Bonnie at peace with the world.

Roanoke Island Animal Clinic in Manteo, NC is a full service companion animal hospital.
What we love most about our clinic is we can still practice very progressive medicine
and surgery in this warm, friendly small town here on Roanoke Island. It is our commitment
to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities
are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection
and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care
as necessary during his or her lifetime.

We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming
your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to
practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client
education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the
unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

We have also developed a reputation for caring for the wildlife here on the Outer Banks.
We take in any wildlife animal that can get to our door and render treatment at no cost.
Dr. Burkart is also the veterinarian for the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island
