We treat your pet as we would our own.  Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client/owner education. Our entire health care team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

We have also developed a reputation for caring for the wildlife here on the Outer Banks.  We take in any wildlife animal that can get to our door and render treatment at no cost.  Dr. Burkart is also the veterinarian for the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island and Dr. Grossman is the veterinarian for the Return to The Wild Red Wolf program on Alligator River Refuge.

 JUST A LITTLE HOLIDAY HUMOR!

 Fectival of Trees 2011!! Once again our clinic put together a tree to be auctioned off at the Festival of Trees. The money goes towards the Hotline chelter for battered and abused woman. Hotline is located on Roanoke Island and helps hundreds of woamn every year. This year's tree is worth over 1200 dollars!
